Hi! I’m Lizzy…
I’m so glad you stopped by!
My hope is that your time on this page encourages you in
knowledge and love of God, who created you and loves you
enjoying the plants God gives us for nutrition and health, and
faithfully walking out family discipleship to Jesus
You are welcome to…
Take a peek, stick around, or dialogue with me about these topics through messages. This blog is where I document my family’s journey of faith in JESUS (by the grace of God!), walking in this faith (discipleship to Jesus individually and as a family), how we pursue that in a Christ-centered homeschool, and how we enjoy PLANTS as our primary source of nutrition and proactive wellness!
I am certified as a plant-based nutritionist, and we primarily eat plants for our food at home, though we do enjoy making exceptions when we are served other things by friends or family. We love to use fresh herbs, essential oils, and plant compresses as our prevention strategies and the first line of defense for our wellness.
My husband and our kids have been great partners in exploring the plants God made for our health and nutrition. We are on the adventure together, as we pursue walking out our faith as a family, homeschooling through the journey, and desiring the gospel to penetrate every area of our lives. Come along with us!
If we haven’t met, let me introduce myself.
I’m Lizzy. I live in the Atlanta suburbs, with my amazing husband of eleven years and our three awesome children, with number four on the way! I share here not as an expert, but from being in the trenches with you. So I’m sharing my journey to link arms and hopefully bring encouragement to you along the way.
I am a Christian—a follower of Jesus, and I would LOVE to talk with you about him more than anything else. (Seriously, send me a message!) He first encountered and rescued me when I was a young child, and he has become my only hope and my delight.
A few things you might not know:
My husband and I were engaged less than a year after we met, then we were married less than 3 months later.
My first dog was a Great Dane. We currently have 2 golden retrievers who are brothers and littermates. Oh, and all of our pets are all healthy plant-based eaters, too!
I am a worship leader in my church. My first time leading worship was in 3rd grade, using an acoustic guitar with only 4 strings, all tuned(-ish) to the same note. (I had some very gracious Sunday school teachers!)
I am the youngest of 3 homeschoolers, born and raised in Georgia. My husband is the oldest of 3 public schoolers; born in Ecuador, raised in new York. Opposites attract. :)
I hate sweet potatoes, and they’re not in any of my recipes.
My favorite jobs (before marrying an entrepreneur) were working in coffee shops. I can still make a mean cup of joe, with a pretty design on top of the foam.
